The Zanzibar Information Technology Society, ZITS was formally established on the 12th of April, 2004. ZITS is a unique National association of individual IT Professionals and affiliated & related fields of IT in all disciplines interested in the creation, deployment,implementation and dissemination of IT knowledge and about the use of information technology in all field stressing on education and faculty/staff development and executives and Government officers and the public in general. The Society seeks to promote research, higher studies in IT, collaboration, exchange, and support among its membership, and to actively foster the development of new national organizations where a need emerges. ZITS is the only organization that has as its sole focus the integration of instructional technologies into education enhancement programs. |
